Joseph W. Belluck

Joseph W. Belluck is a founding partner at Belluck Law and a leader in personal injury and asbestos litigation. He has more than 25 years of experience and has helped secure over $1 billion in settlements. His practice focuses on advocating for injured individuals and holding companies accountable.

Joseph earned a B.A. in Sociology from SUNY – Binghamton and a J.D., magna cum laude, from SUNY – Buffalo School of Law. His education provided a strong base for his work in litigation, public service, and legal advocacy across a wide range of matters.

Joseph is widely known for his work in mesothelioma and asbestos cases. He also handles truck accidents, workplace injuries, and consumer fraud claims. He has built a national reputation for representing clients in serious injury cases and often speaks at conferences across the United States.

Before founding Belluck Law, Joseph represented New York State in its tobacco litigation. He played a role in efforts that led to a major settlement and changes in industry practices. He also worked as a judicial law clerk at the Texas Supreme Court and as a staff attorney at Public Citizen.

Joseph has received many honors for his work. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers for many years. His firm has also been included in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Law Firms.

Joseph serves on the SUNY Board of Trustees and chairs the Charter School Committee. He also chairs the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct and contributes to policy and advisory groups focused on law and public issues.
