About
Joseph Rogelio Echavarria is the President, Managing Partner, and Co-Founder of JRE Injury Law. His practice focuses primarily on personal injury law and automobile claims, representing people who have been hurt and need legal guidance after an accident. He developed his personal injury practice after beginning his career in criminal prosecution and later working in private practice. He also became Managing Partner of the Echavarria Law Firm in 2019 before launching his law practice to further serve injured people throughout Texas.
Joseph earned degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He later earned a J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. His academic background in political science, criminal justice, and law provided a foundation for work involving litigation, evidence, legal analysis, and courtroom procedure. His education also prepared him for the prosecutorial work that formed the first stage of his legal career before he moved into private practice and personal injury representation.
Joseph began his legal career as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Bexar County, serving in that role for two years. His work as a prosecutor gave him experience handling criminal matters, evaluating evidence, preparing cases, and working within the courtroom. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he joined Carabin Shaw and shifted his professional focus toward personal injury and automobile claims. Since that transition, he has concentrated primarily on helping injured clients navigate claims arising from accidents and other circumstances involving physical harm and financial losses.
Joseph Rogelio Echavarria emphasizes direct communication and individual attention at JRE Injury Law. The firm states that he personally returns client calls and works to remain accessible during the legal process. His law firm describes itself as a small team that limits the number of cases it accepts so clients can receive more focused service. The firm serves clients in both English and Spanish and handles personal injury matters on a contingency-fee basis. His approach combines his background as a former prosecutor with years of personal injury work, allowing him to guide injured clients through case preparation, insurance issues, negotiations, and litigation while maintaining a strong focus on responsive client service.
