Joseph L. Amaral

Joseph L. Amaral is a partner at May, Oberfell, Lorber in Mishawaka, Indiana. He advises clients on divorce, business litigation, business transactions, commercial law, real estate, probate, wills, trusts, estate planning, guardianships, and health care law. Mr. Amaral works with individuals, families, businesses, and health care clients, helping them address legal issues that affect personal decisions, business operations, property interests, and long-term planning.

Mr. Amaral earned his J.D. from Indiana University at Bloomington School of Law in 1973. He also received an A.B. from Indiana University Bloomington in 1969. His academic background provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, negotiation, and practical problem solving. This training supports his ability to evaluate complex disputes, structure transactions, and guide clients through matters involving business, family, real estate, and estate concerns.

Mr. Amaral has represented clients in a broad range of matters involving business disputes, commercial transactions, real estate issues, probate, estate planning, guardianships, and health care law. His representative clients include Beacon Health System and its affiliates, including Beacon Medical Group, as well as T. Allen’s Hospitality Group.
