Joseph E. Bant

Joseph E. Bant is a Kansas City litigator who represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of civil disputes. He works in the Litigation Department and handles matters in state and federal courts, providing clear guidance and strong advocacy across complex legal issues for clients in many industries.

Joseph earned a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2008, where he served on the Kansas Law Review from 2006 to 2008 and was a note and comment editor. He also earned a B.S. with highest distinction in Journalism from the University of Kansas in 2005.

Joseph represents employers in wage claims and discrimination claims under state and federal laws. He also advises businesses and individuals on contract disputes, real estate disputes, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, secured transactions, and personal injury claims, offering practical solutions and steady support throughout each matter.

Joseph represents financial institutions and other businesses in consumer protection claims brought as individual claims and class actions. He also advises clients in appellate litigation before the Kansas and Missouri courts of appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, drawing on strong experience and insight.
