About
Joseph D. Damrich serves clients in criminal defense, personal injury, and family law, using trial preparation and practical judgment to guide people through stressful legal problems. His background includes work in both civil claims and criminal prosecution, giving him a broad view of how cases develop, proceed, and affect clients.
Joseph earned his BA from The University of South Alabama in 2011, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2015. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2015 and the Alabama Bar in 2017.
Joseph built strong advocacy skills during law school through courtroom-focused activities. He served as Chief of Staff, joined and coached the Trial Advocacy National Team, helped win the Louisiana State Bar Trial Competition, and competed in other contests. He was also part of the Maritime Law Journal.
Joseph was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a selective national honor society recognizing exceptional skill in trial advocacy. Before entering law, he worked in the maritime sandblasting and painting industry as a project manager and coating inspector, gaining real-world experience on projects across the Southeast United States and the Caribbean.
Joseph later handled many personal injury matters as an associate attorney in New Orleans. His work included car accidents, slip-and-falls, and other injury cases. That experience helped him understand how injured people navigate medical concerns, insurance issues, financial pressure, and the need for clear legal guidance.
Joseph also served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office for 2 years. In that role, he handled thousands of criminal cases, including jury trials involving Murder, Rape, Robbery, Kidnapping, Assault, Chemical Endangerment of a Child, DUI, Domestic Violence, and Drug Trafficking.
Joseph D. Damrich uses his combined civil and criminal background to help people facing serious legal challenges. He represents those who have been injured, wronged, or charged with a crime, and he works to protect their rights while pursuing strong results through careful preparation, courtroom experience, and focused advocacy.
