Jordan J. Feist is a highly accomplished attorney specializing in bankruptcy and creditor’s rights, with an extensive background in business litigation. He provides expert legal services to banks, cooperative associations, businesses, governmental entities, and creditors in lending disputes, foreclosure actions, bankruptcies, and other insolvency matters.

His practice covers many areas, including secured and unsecured creditors’ representation in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases. Jordan also has extensive experience in mechanic’s lien, public improvement lien proceedings, and bond claim matters for contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in payment disputes.

A magna cum laude graduate in Political Science from the University of South Dakota, Jordan continued his academic success at the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, where he earned his J.D. summa cum laude.

At law school, he was an Articles Editor for the Penn State Law Review, and his student comment was published in Volume 118 of the journal. His academic excellence earned him membership in the prestigious Woolsack Honor Society and the Miller Public Interest Advocate Award.

Jordan’s professional career includes clerking for the Honorable Shon Hastings of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of North Dakota. This experience significantly honed his understanding of bankruptcy law. He has been recognized as a Rising Star in the Great Plains Super Lawyers list (2018-2024) and One to Watch in Best Lawyers (2020-2021).

Beyond his legal practice, Jordan is actively involved in his community. He serves as a Director for the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House and a former Director for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls. His contributions have left a lasting impact on his clients and the community he serves.
