About
Jon R. Rogers is a partner at May Oberfell Lorber in Mishawaka, Indiana. He maintains a broad practice serving individuals and families in family and domestic matters, bankruptcy, wills, trusts and estate planning, litigation, juvenile and CHINS cases, appellate matters, mediation, arbitration, and adoptions. Clients rely on Jon for practical guidance when legal issues affect family relationships, financial stability, and long-term planning.
Jon earned his J.D. from Valparaiso University Law School in 2006 after graduating from DePauw University in 2003. His education provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and problem solving. That training supports his ability to evaluate complex facts, explain legal options clearly, and guide clients through matters that often require both careful judgment and steady communication.
Jon began his legal career with the Indiana Department of Child Services, where he gained trial and appellate experience. He later served for three years as the first legal advisor to Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steven David. After that clerkship, he moved to Michiana and served as staff attorney to the Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee, adding bankruptcy experience to his broader litigation and advisory background.
Jon R. Rogers is admitted in Indiana and Michigan, as well as in federal courts in Indiana and Michigan and before the Seventh Circuit. He is affiliated with the Indiana State Bar Association, the Michigan State Bar Association, and the St. Joseph County Bar Association. A Michiana 40 under 40 honoree and Indiana State Bar Association Leadership Academy graduate, Jon helps clients address legal challenges with practical service and sound judgment.
