Jon Hendricks

Jon Hendricks is a Nebraska attorney who focuses his practice on criminal defense and family law. Raised in rural Nebraska, he returned to the state after earning his law degree and has dedicated his legal career to serving the local community. Before entering private practice, Jon worked as a prosecutor in Grand Island, where he represented the State in felony cases, juvenile matters, and mental health proceedings. His experience handling hundreds of cases has provided him with extensive courtroom and litigation experience.

Jon earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. During his undergraduate studies, he graduated with highest distinction and was recognized on both the Dean’s List and Chancellor’s List. He was also active in campus organizations, serving as President of the Pre-Law Club. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating with distinction.

While in law school, Jon worked as an assistant to Professor David Baldus in the area of criminal law. He also gained practical legal experience through internships with the Iowa Free Legal Clinic and the Burlington County Attorney’s Office, helping provide legal services to individuals in need.

After law school, Jon Hendricks served as Deputy Hall County Attorney from 2008 to 2015. In that role, he prosecuted a wide range of cases and worked closely with law enforcement and community organizations. Jon also served as a legal instructor at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center and participated in several professional and community organizations, including the Nebraska Bar Association and the Hall County Bar Association.
