Jon Fox

Jon Fox is the principal of The Fox Law Firm in Bellevue, Washington, where he focuses on DUI and criminal defense. With more than 35 years of experience defending DUI cases, Fox represents clients throughout King, Snohomish, Pierce, Spokane, and other Washington counties. His clients have included professional athletes, corporate officers, medical and legal professionals, pilots, executives, and working individuals facing the personal and professional consequences of DUI charges.

Fox earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1980 and completed undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis in 1977. His legal education provided a foundation in trial advocacy, legal analysis, and criminal procedure. Throughout his career, he has deepened his technical understanding of alcohol breath testing and completed specialized breath-test training used by Washington State Patrol personnel.

Fox has played a significant role in challenges involving Washington breath-testing technology, beginning with the DataMaster system introduced in the 1980s and later the Draeger 9510. He is a primary author of Defending DUIs in Washington and has litigated DUI cases in courts across the state. Fox has also spoken at trial lawyer seminars in multiple states, lectured for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and presented to judges, police officers, and legal professionals on DUI issues and courtroom strategy.

Jon Fox has been repeatedly selected as a Washington Super Lawyer and holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is a founding member of the National College for DUI Defense, a founding and former board member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a former chair of the Washington State Bar Association Criminal Law Section.
