John Paul “J.P.” Schafer is a dedicated trial attorney with extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation. His primary focus is personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents and wrongful death claims. He is known for zealous advocacy and developing practical, creative solutions to complex legal challenges for clients throughout Indiana.
J.P. graduated from Christendom College, B.A., 2003 (cum laude). He then earned his J.D., 2007, from Indiana University School of Law — Indianapolis, where he was a member of the Moot Court Team. His education provided a strong foundation in legal writing, courtroom advocacy, and analytical reasoning.
J.P. began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Marion and Tippecanoe Counties, Indiana. This role gave him significant courtroom experience and sharpened his litigation skills. Today, he applies that background to personal injury disputes, criminal law matters, drunk driving cases, and expungements.
