John J. Spillane

John J. Spillane is a seasoned trial attorney with more than 25 years of experience litigating wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury cases across the United States. His practice focuses on complex civil plaintiff matters, including product liability and claims involving exposure to dangerous chemicals and hazardous substances.

John earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1993. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Human Resources Management from Trinity University in 1988, where he was a four-year varsity basketball player. During that time, he was named Academic All-American, team captain, and team MVP.

John approaches every case with a strong emphasis on investigation, research, and preparation. His background in scientifically complex cases allows him to analyze technical evidence and present it clearly in court. This disciplined approach has made him a trusted advocate in high-stakes litigation nationwide.

John’s legal work has been widely recognized by peers and independent organizations. He has been named a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorney by the National Trial Lawyers, selected to Texas Monthly’s Super Lawyers list, and awarded an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

In addition to courtroom advocacy, John believes lawyers must protect client rights at the legislative level. He served as lead counsel in a Georgia case that led to a state statute being declared unconstitutional by the Georgia Supreme Court.
