John earned a J.D. from the University of Santa Clara in 1986. He also holds a B.S. from the University of Nevada, Reno, earned in 1981. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant and is admitted to practice in Nevada and California.
John advises clients on many types of estate planning tools. He drafts wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, life insurance trusts, and powers of attorney. He also works on charitable trusts and business arrangements such as buy-sell agreements and cross-purchase trusts for closely held businesses.
John has strong experience in estate tax and fiduciary income tax matters. He supports clients in preparing federal and state tax returns and works with accountants during the process. He also helps resolve disputes with taxing authorities, including the IRS, related to tax filings.
