John E. Roach is the founder of Roach Law PLLC and represents clients throughout Minnesota in family law, landlord-tenant law, and criminal defense matters. His work includes divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, protective orders, eviction actions, lease disputes, DWI defense, assault cases, drug charges, theft matters, probation violations, and expungement. Roach helps individuals and families protect their rights, address urgent legal problems, and move forward with practical guidance.
Roach graduated cum laude from North Dakota State University and magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, he taught Constitutional Law through the Marshall-Brennan program and served for two years on the Mitchell Hamline Law Review journal. His academic background and law review experience strengthened his legal research, writing, and courtroom preparation, supporting his ability to analyze family, criminal, and housing disputes with careful attention to detail.
Roach has represented clients in hundreds of litigated cases and has handled trials, motion hearings, and other contested proceedings. His experience includes appellate work in divorce and criminal law matters before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, as well as substantial experience in eviction and landlord-tenant proceedings. He represents landlords and tenants, defends clients facing criminal allegations, and guides families through disputes involving property, parenting, support, and child protection.
John E. Roach is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and is listed on the Minnesota Parent-Attorney Roster. He was selected to Expertise’s list of Best Divorce Lawyers from 2021 through 2024 and named a Minnesota Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2021 through 2026.
