John Demas

John Demas is the founding partner of Demas Law Group and is recognized as one of California’s leading plaintiff attorneys. For over three decades, he has represented exclusively injured victims, earning a reputation for dedication and results. His trial work includes multiple record-breaking verdicts and settlements in personal injury and wrongful death cases.

John earned his Juris Doctor degree with Distinction from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law in 1992, following completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the same institution in 1989. Admitted to the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, he has built a respected career rooted in both legal skill and professional integrity.

John has secured landmark results, including the largest jury verdict in Sacramento County for a bicycle collision ($10.5M) and one of California’s largest wrongful death settlements involving a baby ($9.75M). His ability to achieve multi-million-dollar outcomes, even against low initial offers, reflects his strength as a trial advocate and strategist.

John has been consistently honored as a Northern California Super Lawyer for nearly 15 years and named to the Top 100 Attorneys list for the region. He is also recognized as one of the Top 25 attorneys in Sacramento and has been named Best of the Bar by the Sacramento Business Journal.
