John D. Yamane

John D. Yamane is a highly experienced personal injury attorney based in Honolulu, Hawaii, and a valued member of Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner. Since 1981, he has represented clients injured due to the negligence of others, working tirelessly to help them recover the compensation they deserve. With more than four decades of legal experience, John has handled over 25 criminal and civil jury trials. John earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 1978. He also holds a B.A. from the University of Washington, which he completed in 1975.

John began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Liem Tuai of the Seattle Superior Court after law school. He then returned to Hawaii and joined the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, where he assisted victims of crime and gained valuable trial experience. Since transitioning into private practice, John has continued to serve the people of Hawaii, helping them navigate the complex legal system after injuries caused by car accidents, unsafe property conditions, or other acts of negligence.
