John A. Singer

John A. Singer is a Managing Partner and experienced attorney admitted to the bar in 2010. He is licensed in Iowa and Illinois, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa and the Central District of Illinois.

John earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa and later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law, building a strong academic foundation for his legal career.

John focuses his practice mainly on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and child support. He also handles guardianships for minors and assists clients with modifying custody, visitation, and support arrangements as their needs change.

In addition to family law, John practices employment law, unemployment hearings, appeals, small business matters, probate, and real estate. His broad experience enables him to guide clients through many legal challenges with steady, practical advice.

John has been recognized as a Leading Lawyers Peer Selected attorney in both 2018 and 2021. He is also an active member of several bar associations, including the Illinois State Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar Association.

John A. Singer has a strong history of leadership and achievement. He served on the Executive Council for the Young Lawyers Division of the Iowa State Bar Association and was a four-year varsity letter winner in Men’s Diving at the University of Iowa.
