About

Joanne M. Badeaux is a Texas attorney with decades of experience in estate planning, probate, real estate, and business law. She has represented multiple generations of families, helping them protect assets, plan for the future, and manage legal responsibilities after a loved one’s death. Her work includes wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives to physicians, estate administration, guardianship matters, and real estate issues connected with estates.

Joanne earned her B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1979. She then earned her J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law in 1982. After law school, she worked on large transactions in Houston’s Galleria area. She also worked for Stewart Title Company before opening her own legal practice in the Clear Lake area in 1986. This background gives her practical insight into property ownership, title transfers, and complex transactions.

Joanne is known for explaining legal issues in clear, understandable terms and taking a gentle but thorough approach with clients. Her experience is especially valuable when an estate includes real property and beneficiaries need to transfer title or obtain warranty deeds. She has also served as an executor for family members, giving her personal insight into the pressures executors face when distributing assets and responding to beneficiaries. She addresses clients’ concerns until they understand their options and next steps.

Joanne M. Badeaux is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas and belongs to its Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section. She has delivered community presentations on wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, and estate planning for groups that include AARP, NASA employees, senior organizations, and local community members. Her service has also included leadership or volunteer roles with hospice care, chambers of commerce, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, and local business organizations.
