Jim R. Ross

Jim R. Ross is the Managing Attorney and founder of Jim Ross Law Group, P.C. His practice focuses on personal injury law matters, including car accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, slip-and-fall injuries, and wrongful death claims. He approaches each case with a trial-ready mindset, emphasizing investigation, preparation, and strategic planning from the outset. His work is centered on protecting injured clients and pursuing meaningful compensation after serious accidents and losses statewide.

Jim earned his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, now Texas A&M University School of Law, in 1998. He previously earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Dallas Baptist University in 1995. His education prepared him for a career centered on litigation and advocacy, while his earlier law-enforcement experience provided additional knowledge of investigations, evidence collection, constitutional rights, courtroom testimony, and criminal justice procedures.

Jim served in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983 and later spent thirteen years with the Arlington Police Department before becoming an attorney. His police career included service on Arlington’s first full-time SWAT team, work as a Police Academy instructor, and more than six years on a DEA Task Force investigating narcotics trafficking. Those roles gave him substantial experience with investigations, evidence, and courtroom procedures before juries.

Jim R. Ross founded Jim Ross Law Group, P.C. in 2009 and has represented individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and businesses across Texas. The firm reports tens of millions of dollars recovered through verdicts and settlements. He emphasizes direct communication, careful preparation, and practical guidance throughout representation. He also serves as the 31st Mayor of Arlington, bringing additional experience in public leadership, municipal government, budgeting, infrastructure, and community decision-making to his broader professional perspective today.
