Jill Edinger

Jill Edinger is a Carbondale attorney and the founder and owner of her own law practice. Her practice focuses on family law, including divorce and custody matters, as well as domestic violence, child abuse, protection orders, and selected criminal defense cases. She has substantial courtroom experience in both civil and criminal matters and represents clients whose cases can involve immediate safety concerns, parenting disputes, criminal allegations, and difficult decisions affecting family relationships and legal rights.

Jill earned a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University Law School, a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. with high honors from Brown University. Jill has handled dozens of civil and criminal trials and previously served as a deputy district attorney in Colorado’s Ninth Judicial District. She also practiced with Holland & Hart and other firms before opening her own office. Her combined prosecution, civil litigation, and private practice experience gives her familiarity with courtroom procedure, witness preparation, evidentiary issues, and negotiation.
