Jill Arnold

Jill Arnold serves as General Counsel at a Global Macro Hedge Fund, bringing legal and compliance experience across investment management, hedge funds, and financial services. Her background includes advising on regulatory matters, company policies, fund documentation, strategic planning, and business operations for investment advisers and related financial organizations.

Jill earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her B.A. from Duke University. Her education supports her work in legal analysis, governance, compliance, contracts, and financial services matters. This academic foundation helps her advise organizations that require careful judgment, clear documentation, and strong regulatory awareness.

Jill previously served as CCO and Associate General Counsel at A.R.T. Advisors, LLC from June 2019 to August 2022. Before that, she worked at Astenbeck Capital Management LLC, where she served as General Counsel and managed legal and compliance work for an SEC and CFTC-registered investment adviser.

Jill advised on policies and procedures, fiduciary committee matters, disaster recovery planning, business continuity, privacy issues, cyber security, insurance policies, outside counsel management, confidentiality agreements, side letters, service provider agreements, fund documents, leases, construction contracts, regulatory examinations, personal trading rules, allocation policies, and marketing materials.

Jill also handled regulatory filings, including Forms PF, PQR, PR, ADV, 13F, 13H, and D, as well as FATCA/CRS and TIC/BEA filings. Her background includes work on ERISA, AIFMD marketing rules, RFP review, family office matters, and legal consulting for hedge funds.
