Jessica S. Rothberg

Jessica S. Rothberg, is a highly respected family and divorce mediator with over 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate complex legal disputes. She began her legal career advocating for union employees in New York City, where she negotiated settlements and resolved labor conflicts. Her passion for mediation led her to establish Mediation Works in 1998, shifting her focus to family and divorce mediation. Since then, she has dedicated her career to guiding clients through challenging transitions with professionalism and care.

Jessica earned her J.D. from Northeastern Law School, where she developed a strong foundation in conflict resolution and negotiation. She has received formal training in mediation and collaborative divorce from prestigious institutions, including the Center for Understanding in Conflict, the Ackerman Institute for the Family, and the Center for Mediation & Training. Her expertise extends to elder mediation and working with LGBTQI families, ensuring that all individuals receive fair and effective dispute resolution services.

As an experienced mediator and collaborative divorce attorney, Jessica helps families resolve disputes outside of court through practical, solution-focused guidance. She focuses on divorce mediation, child custody agreements, and family conflict resolution, creating a calm, structured setting where parents can reach fair, amicable settlements. Jessica is an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and an Accredited Member of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation. She is also actively involved in professional organizations, including the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, the Association of Professional Family Mediators, and the LGBTQI Family Professionals of NYC.

In addition to her mediation practice, Jessica S. Rothberg served as an adjunct professor at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (2008–2013), where she taught an advanced seminar on family and divorce mediation.
