Jessica N. Foxx

Jessica N. Foxx is a dedicated family law attorney known for her compassionate and comprehensive approach to legal representation. She focuses her practice in Missouri on divorce, custody modifications, paternity, guardianships, and estate planning. Jessica earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, where she emphasized Family Law. Jessica also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri, graduating summa cum laude. Her academic work includes published articles in the UMKC Law Review and the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Before launching her legal practice, Jessica was a law clerk to the Honorable Jack R. Grate in the Jackson County Circuit Court. Her experience includes internships with the Department of Homeland Security and the Jackson County Circuit Court. She actively participated in the UMKC Child and Family Services Clinic, representing clients under Rule 13 certification in family law matters.

Jessica continues to shape the next generation of attorneys as Assistant Director of the UMKC Child and Family Services Clinic. In this role, she supervises students handling family law cases, from dissolution and adoption to minor guardianships and name changes.

Jessica is licensed to practice in Missouri and is a certified Guardian ad Litem. Her affiliations include the Missouri Bar Association, Association for Women Lawyers, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and Eastern Jackson County Bar Association.
