Jessica Malott

Jessica Malott is the owner and managing partner of Malott Law, PLC, where she focuses her practice primarily on immigration law. She represents individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters, including removal defense in Immigration Court, family-based immigration petitions, citizenship, and naturalization. Through her work, she helps clients understand complex immigration rules and navigate legal processes with clear advice and strong advocacy. Her practice also includes cases involving DACA, VAWA petitions, U visas, and special immigrant juvenile matters.

Jessica earned a B.A. in communication studies and Spanish from the University of Iowa in 2002. She later obtained her J.D. with honors from Drake University Law School in 2006. During law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Drake Law Review, a leadership role that required strong research, writing, and editorial skills. She also worked as an intern with the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence, gaining early experience assisting individuals facing difficult legal and personal situations.

Jessica has built a diverse legal career since graduating from law school. She has worked as a law clerk, a federal government attorney, a law school career advisor, and a private practice attorney. These roles allowed her to gain a deep understanding of the legal system and the challenges people face when seeking legal help. Her experience across both government and private sectors strengthens her ability to handle complex immigration cases effectively.
