About

Jerry M. Lehocky is a founding partner at Pond Lehocky Giordano in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For more than 30 years, his practice has focused on workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability matters. Lehocky began his career representing employers and insurance companies before shifting in 1991 to represent claimants exclusively. He helps injured and disabled individuals pursue benefits and navigate claims involving workplace injuries, disability, and related administrative proceedings.

Lehocky earned his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1985 after attending Allegheny College, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 1982. He was admitted to practice in 1985. His legal education, combined with decades of litigation experience, supports his work on workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability claims and his ability to address legal, medical, and procedural issues that can affect a claimant’s access to benefits.

Lehocky has contributed to workers’ compensation policy as well as individual client representation. He co-authored Pennsylvania House Bill 2738, which created the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund to provide benefits to injured workers whose employers lack workers’ compensation coverage. He has also served as a consultant to Pennsylvania governors and state legislators on workers’ compensation issues. His representative results include a $4.4 million workers’ compensation settlement obtained in 2020.

Jerry M. Lehocky is a former president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and previously chaired its workers’ compensation section for 12 consecutive years. He also serves as chair of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. His honors include the 2017 Milton J. Rosenberg Award, recognition by Super Lawyers, and prior inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America.
