Jeremy R. Summerlin

Jeremy R. Summerlin is a trial lawyer and shareholder at Horton Law Firm in Greenville, South Carolina. He represents employees and businesses in employment law disputes, business litigation, personal injury, and residential construction defect cases. Known for his strong courtroom presence and advocacy, he is especially passionate about defending workers’ rights in cases involving wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination.

Jeremy earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal and was Vice President of the Federalist Society. He received his undergraduate degree from Bob Jones University, also located in Greenville, establishing his lifelong connection to the area.

Since entering private practice in 2013, Jeremy has focused on representing individuals and executives in employment law matters, including non-compete disputes, wage theft, whistleblower retaliation, and FMLA violations. He regularly litigates claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and advises clients on severance agreements and employment contracts.
