Jeremy Lackey

Jeremy Lackey is a criminal defense lawyer and a partner at Lackey & Miller, LLC, with strong courtroom experience and a focused, practical approach to every case. Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant Prosecutor and Deputy Attorney General in New Jersey. In those roles, he handled matters in juvenile and adult criminal court, presented cases to grand juries, and litigated cases from detention hearings through sentencing. His background gives clients informed guidance, case analysis, and confident representation at every stage.

Jeremy earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 2012 and his B.A. from Rutgers University in 2008. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable E. David Millard, P.J. Civ. Div. (retired) in Ocean County Superior Court. He shares his knowledge through teaching. He serves as an adjunct professor at Rowan College at Burlington County and has instructed advocacy and criminal justice courses for future legal and justice professionals.

Jeremy prosecuted offenses ranging from burglary and robbery to murder, weapons charges, drug distribution, and strict liability for drug-induced death. He also worked in the Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force, the Gangs and Organized Crime Bureau, and the Office of Securities Fraud and Financial Crimes Prosecutions.
