Jeremy A. Winton

Jeremy A. Winton is the managing partner of Winton & Hiestand Law Group in Louisville, Kentucky, and heads the firm’s pre-litigation, entertainment, and client services departments. Winton works with filmmakers, production companies, and studio executives on film and television representation, development, packaging, and related business matters. He also advises entertainment clients on project strategy, contracts, production concerns, and distribution issues, helping creative and business teams move projects from development toward completion and release.

Winton earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 2003 after receiving a B.A. in History from the University of Kentucky in 2000. He has also completed certificate programs through Harvard University covering American government, constitutional foundations, political institutions, and public policy, along with negotiation training through the University of Michigan. His education supports a practice involving contract negotiation, project development, client counseling, and entertainment-related business strategy.

Winton leads the firm’s entertainment division and has been involved in the “Hollywood to Louisville” initiative, which promotes film and television production and economic development in Louisville. His work includes advising on film financing and distribution, facilitating project marketing and packaging, coordinating submissions, participating in business meetings, and helping clients prepare plans for entertainment ventures. He has also worked on film and television projects identified by the firm, including Mr. Santa the Musical Christmas Extravaganza, Donna, and King of the South.

Jeremy A. Winton has received community recognition that includes appointment as a Kentucky Colonel, a Community Service Award from the Kentucky House of Representatives, and the Key to the City from Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer in 2015. He has also supported youth, veterans, and charitable organizations through mentoring and community service. Winton combines legal counseling, entertainment-industry involvement, negotiation skills, and local civic engagement to support filmmakers and production clients pursuing creative and commercial goals.
