Jennifer S. McDonald

Jennifer S. McDonald focuses her practice on family law matters involving divorce, custody, and post-decree issues. She represents clients across Colorado, including Arapahoe County, Adams County, Denver County, and Douglas County. She founded her firm to provide child-focused and family-focused legal support.

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2011. She also earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2006. She studied English and Broadcast Journalism.

Jennifer completed Child and Family Investigator Training in 2017, 40-Hour Mediation Training in 2011, Introduction to Collaborative Divorce Practice in 2019, Comprehensive Training for Parenting Coordinators/Decision Makers in 2024, and 20-Hour HB23-1178 Domestic Violence Training in 2023. She also completes ongoing continuing legal education.

Jennifer handles dissolution of marriage, child custody, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, parental relocation, division of marital assets, grandparent rights, paternity, high asset divorces, and prenuptial agreements. She is also a Children’s Legal Representative, Child and Family Investigator, Parenting Coordinator, and Decision Maker.
