Jennifer Rusie

Jennifer Rusie is a principal and the Nashville office litigation manager at Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on disability access, employment litigation, and employer advice and counsel. She represents higher education institutions, hospitality businesses, retailers, and other public-facing organizations. She advises clients on employment relationships and physical and digital accessibility issues while defending disputes before courts, arbitrators, and administrative agencies.

Jennifer received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2003. She earned a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1999, graduating magna cum laude. Her education provides a foundation for employment litigation, regulatory analysis, and counseling concerning the rights and responsibilities of employers and organizations that serve the public. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee and several other jurisdictions.

Jennifer has handled hundreds of disability access matters, including individual demands and class action litigation. These matters involve building barriers, websites and mobile applications, hotel accessibility disclosures, and other public accommodation issues. She has defended employers against discrimination and sexual harassment claims, tried cases involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, represented universities responding to civil rights complaints, and obtained a Tennessee Supreme Court decision enforcing an arbitration agreement.

Jennifer Rusie has been recognized by Best Lawyers for Litigation in Labor and Employment and has received Mid-South Super Lawyers recognition. She is a fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation and has participated in community service through the Nashville Food Project. Her litigation and advisory work helps organizations evaluate accessibility obligations, respond to workplace claims, and develop policies consistent with operational needs and applicable law.
