Jennifer L. Goheen

Jennifer L. Goheen is a Wichita family law attorney and partner who represents clients in divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, paternity, and domestic relations matters. She also handles Protection from Stalking and Protection from Abuse proceedings for clients seeking or defending against court orders. She combines litigation, mediation, and negotiation experience with a straightforward approach that protects children’s best interests while addressing client priorities and goals through difficult cases.

Jennifer earned a B.A. from Kansas State University in 1997 and an M.A. from Wichita State University in 1999. She graduated with honors from Washburn University School of Law in 2002 and began practicing that year. She uses her academic background and early crisis-center case management experience to address family disputes involving conflict, children, financial concerns, and court procedures. She applies analysis, clear communication, and attention to each client’s circumstances.

Jennifer counsels parents through custody disputes and helps them address child support and parenting time guidelines when relationships end. She also assists families with domestic adoptions, including stepparent adoptions, and represents clients in protection order matters. Her experience as a litigator, mediator, negotiator, and former Crisis Center case manager helps her manage difficult cases.
