Je’Nell Blocher Blum

Je’Nell Blocher Blum is a seasoned attorney and shareholder at Dukes, Keating, Hatten, McRaney, Blum, P.A., bringing over 25 years of legal experience to clients across Mississippi. Her practice includes general civil litigation, real estate law, zoning and land use, probate and estate planning, commercial transactions, contracts, municipal law, and business and corporate matters.

Ms. Blum began her legal career after earning a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration with a minor in Sociology from San Diego State University in 1990. She went on to receive her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1994, where she served as a writer and editor for the San Diego Justice Journal. Her academic achievements include recognition in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities in both 1993–1994 and 1994–1995.

Before relocating to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Ms. Blum practiced law in California as Corporate Counsel for Innovia Health, Inc., and as an associate attorney at the Law Office of Richard A. Thomas. She joined Dukes, Keating, Hatten, McRaney, Blum, P.A. in 2001 and has built a strong litigation portfolio, with 25% of her practice dedicated to litigation.

Ms. Blum’s work includes notable appellate cases such as Hams v. State and Kinney v. So. Miss. Planning + Dev. Dist.. She is also a published legal author, contributing to San Diego Justice Journal and ExpertHR on topics like employment screening and liability in hiring practices.

Je’Nell Blocher Blum is admitted to practice in Mississippi and California, including several federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
