Jeffrey T. Colemere

Jeffrey T. Colemere is an attorney and co-founder of Colemere Gibbs & Stout, PLLC in Draper, Utah. Colemere practices primarily in real estate litigation, construction litigation, business litigation, landlord-tenant litigation, probate litigation, appellate litigation, and collections. He represents real estate professionals, businesses, property owners, estates, and construction companies in complex disputes before Utah state and federal courts and appellate courts.

Colemere earned a B.A. in English from the University of Utah in 1995 and a J.D. from Creighton University in 1999. He received CALI awards for excellence in Trial Practice and Advanced Legal Writing. His legal education provided a foundation for research, written advocacy, trial preparation, and appellate work across property, construction, commercial, probate, and collection disputes.

Colemere has litigated before state and federal judges, Utah juries, the Utah Court of Appeals, and the Utah Supreme Court. Before launching Colemere Gibbs & Stout with his partners, he worked in public and private practice, including service as an Assistant Attorney General in the Education and Criminal Appeals Divisions. His experience spans trial-level disputes, appeals, government practice, and complex civil litigation.

Jeffrey T. Colemere is admitted to the Utah State Bar, the US District Court for the District of Utah, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Colemere also serves as a Judge Advocate in the US Army Reserve and served in Iraq in 2009-2010, where he received the Army Meritorious Service Medal. His background combines civil litigation, appellate advocacy, public service, and military law.
