Jeffrey S. Gleason

Jeffrey S. Gleason is a Minneapolis health care lawyer and partner who represents managed care organizations in high-stakes litigation. His practice covers provider disputes involving fraud, federal and state RICO laws, consumer protection statutes, ERISA, breach of contract, the No Surprises Act, and the False Claims Act. Jeffrey also helps health plans pursue financial recoveries and defend against substantial claims.

Jeffrey earned a B.A., magna cum laude, in History and Literature from Harvard College in 1999. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2004. His education developed the research, analytical, and advocacy skills needed to handle complex health care disputes involving detailed regulations, disputed billing practices, and significant financial exposure.

Jeffrey previously served as a trial attorney in the Civil Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice from 2009 to 2013. He led False Claims Act investigations and litigation that produced settlements exceeding $100 million. His private-practice experience includes securing settlements worth more than $100 million for payors, obtaining a complete defense verdict in a $40 million claim, and handling disputes involving laboratory billing, drug coverage, medical devices, and unnecessary medical services.
