Jay R. Campbell

Jay R. Campbell is an Ohio intellectual property trial attorney with more than 30 years of experience in patent litigation. He has tried patent cases before judges and juries and argued appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His work spans many technologies, including artificial intelligence, surgical guidance systems, consumer products, and health and life sciences matters requiring careful strategy and strong courtroom presentation skills.

Jay earned his J.D. from The University of Akron School of Law, where he served on Akron Law Review. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. His engineering education supports technical analysis in patent disputes. His legal education supports trial preparation, persuasive writing, appellate advocacy, and clear presentation of complex issues for judges, juries, clients, and opposing parties in IP cases.
