Jay Goodman

Jay Goodman is the Founder and Principal Shareholder of Jay Goodman & Associates Law Firm, P.C. With more than twenty-seven years of legal experience, he has built a strong reputation for providing effective and practical legal representation. His work focuses on helping individuals, families, and businesses resolve complex family law, estate planning, business law, and real estate matters with clear guidance and dependable support. Over the years, he has also founded Lightning Legal Group and Life Leaf Legal Group to expand access to legal services and assist more clients with their legal needs.

Mr. Goodman earned his J.D. from Capital University School of Law in Columbus, Ohio. He also completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1983. His academic background provided the foundation for his long career in the legal field. The legal training he received prepared him to handle a wide range of legal matters and develop practical strategies that benefit his clients in both personal and business-related cases.

Mr. Goodman is licensed to practice law in New Mexico, Ohio, and Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States District Court of New Mexico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. His legal practice focuses on family law, business law, real estate matters, estate planning, probate, elder law, and guardianship and conservatorship matters.
