Jason N. Machnik

Jason N. Machnik is a partner at Herbert Machnik Law Firm, where he leads the firm’s experienced Litigation and Real Property teams. He focuses on protecting clients from litigation and liability through practical, real-world solutions. When litigation is necessary, Jason takes a firm yet balanced approach to defend clients’ interests and achieve the best overall outcome, not just legal results. He handles real estate, litigation, business, and commercial lawsuits and disputes.

Jason earned his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduating cum laude. During law school, he received a Certificate of Merit in Property Law and served as Class Representative for the Student Bar Association. He was also chapter president of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Before law school, he earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Jason started his legal career in 2011. Then, he worked as a prosecutor in his first jury trial. He has worked in multiple roles, including as a county prosecutor, a law clerk for circuit court judges, and an attorney at both large and smaller firms. He co-founded Herbert Machnik Law Firm with partner Ben Herbert. His broad legal expertise includes litigation, real estate, employment, trademarks, and business law. Additionally, he is a certified mediator, which enhances his ability to resolve disputes effectively.
