About
Jason Holleman is an of counsel attorney with Collins Legal, PLC, in Nashville. His work centers on land use and zoning, state and local government regulation, licensing, property disputes, condemnation, and civil litigation. He advises individuals, businesses, and public-sector clients on matters where private property rights intersect with municipal decision-making. His background in government service informs his approach to regulatory disputes and development-related questions.
Jason earned a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Samford University in 1996. He received a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 1999, where he earned a Certificate of Environmental Law and served on the senior board of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal. His academic training provided a foundation for his later work involving environmental regulation, public administration, and property rights.
Jason began practicing with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and later served as an assistant attorney general in Tennessee’s Environmental Division. He also served as city attorney for Mt. Juliet and represented public agencies and private parties in litigation. His appellate matters include Harding Academy v. Metro Government and Neighbors of Old Hickory v. Metro Government, cases addressing local government decisions and property rights.
Jason Holleman has served on the Metropolitan Council for Nashville and Davidson County and held leadership roles within environmental law committees of state and local bar organizations.
