A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, James graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a minor in Finance. During his undergraduate studies, he earned the William J. Phillips Award for Excellence in Economics. He was a member of the Louisiana Honors Program and the Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
James earned his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was named to the Chancellor’s List. He also served as an officer in Phi Alpha Delta and was active in the Civilian Society, further enhancing his commitment to legal excellence and leadership.
