About

Jae Francis Lee is the principal attorney at Francis Law Center, where he focuses exclusively on U.S. immigration law. With offices in Chicago, Schaumburg, and Madison, he leads a team devoted to helping individuals and families secure lawful immigration status through thoughtful legal strategy and detailed representation. His practice includes family-based petitions, green cards through marriage, and employment-based visas for scholars, researchers, and professionals.

Dr. Lee earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he graduated with honors in Labor and Employment Law. Before attending law school, he earned a Ph.D. in History from New York University, a B.A. from Korea University, and a B.S. from Iowa State University. His background in academia and research informs his meticulous approach to legal analysis and his ability to present complex immigration matters with precision and clarity.

Before establishing his practice, Dr. Lee taught U.S. History at the University of Wisconsin for more than two decades, where he lectured and published on topics related to American immigration and legal history. This experience has given him a deep understanding of immigration policy and its human impact, which guides his advocacy for families, skilled workers, and professionals navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Jae Francis Lee is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He has earned recognition from Super Lawyers, Avvo, and the American Institute of Legal Counsel for his excellence in immigration law. Through Francis Law Center, he continues to promote family unity and provide dedicated representation for clients across the nation.
