Jacob L. Fanning

Jacob L. Fanning is an associate at Hartzog Conger Cason with a practice focused on lending and finance, real estate transactions, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and entity formation. He provides counsel to clients navigating complex commercial and regulatory issues with precision and insight.

Jacob earned his Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Pre-Law, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Oklahoma State University in 2018, graduating summa cum laude. He was named Outstanding Senior in Agricultural Economics and received honors including the President’s Honor Roll, Top-10 Freshman Man, and Senior of Significance.

Jacob earned his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2021, graduating summa cum laude. During law school, he was recognized with six CALI Excellence Awards and the prestigious William J. Conger Distinguished Graduate Award. Jacob also served as a student fellow, where he contributed to the Oklahoma District Court Judges’ Benchbook, gaining valuable experience in Oklahoma trial court practice and procedure.

Jacob is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and Texas. His professional affiliations include the Oklahoma and Texas Bar Associations, where he is active in the corporate, real estate, probate, and trust law sections. He has also been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Real Estate Law.

In addition to his legal work, Jacob contributes to scholarly writing and public education. His publications address farm succession, business formations, and corporate transparency. He has also served as a co-editor and co-author for multiple legal resources and journals.

Jacob L. Fanning is actively involved in the legal and agricultural communities, including membership in the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association and Texas Cattle Feeders Association. Outside of his practice, he serves as Co-Chairman of The B.E.E.F. Project and is a member of Covenant Community Church, reflecting a strong commitment to his profession and community.
