Jack W. Dickerson

Jack W. Dickerson is the founder of Dickerson Law Firm, P.A., an Arkansas debt relief firm established in 1991. His practice has focused on helping individuals and families address serious financial problems through consumer bankruptcy. The firm assists clients with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases and explains available options for dealing with debt, property concerns, creditor pressure, and the legal process of seeking a financial fresh start.

Dickerson earned a B.A. from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1974 and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1980. His legal education provided a foundation in research, statutory analysis, advocacy, and public law. That training supported his later work in government service, criminal litigation, and bankruptcy practice, where careful evaluation of legal and financial issues is essential to guiding clients through difficult decisions.

Before founding his firm, Dickerson served as an Assistant Attorney General and represented the State of Arkansas in state criminal appeals and federal criminal litigation. He also worked as an Assistant Prosecutor Coordinator, prepared legal memoranda on county government and criminal justice issues, and contributed a chapter on plea bargaining to the State Prosecutor’s Manual. He later built a regional bankruptcy practice that has helped thousands of Arkansans address debt problems and seek relief under the Bankruptcy Code.

Jack W. Dickerson has also contributed to Arkansas legal education and professional development. He trained bankruptcy attorneys and support staff, including professionals who later worked in the Chapter 13 Trustee Office, and taught at several colleges and schools. His career reflects a combination of public service, legal instruction, and consumer-focused advocacy. Through the firm he founded, he has helped make bankruptcy guidance more accessible to people facing financial hardship across Arkansas.
