Jack G. Marcil is Of Counsel at Serkland Law Firm in Fargo and has practiced with the firm since 1969, following a year as an Assistant Attorney General for North Dakota. His work includes complex commercial litigation, insurance litigation, negligence and personal injury, professional disciplinary defense, professional malpractice defense, construction law, and alternative dispute resolution. Marcil brings extensive trial and dispute-resolution experience to matters involving businesses, professionals, institutions, and individuals.

Marcil earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Dakota in 1963 and a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1968. He is admitted in North Dakota and Minnesota and in federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
