About
Italia Carson is a North Pole attorney with more than 20 years of legal experience, including extensive federal service in government contracts. After retiring from her role as contracts law attorney for the Department of the Army at Fort Wainwright, she opened North Pole’s first law office to serve local clients.
Carson’s education includes a Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. She also holds a Master of Laws with a certificate in contract and fiscal law and has pursued advanced study in government procurement law at the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. Her practice centers on federal procurement and government contracting, where she counsels small-business contractors on proposal preparation, contract interpretation, bid protests, disputes, claims, and suspension or debarment matters. Her background allows her to guide contractors through complex regulations, documentation requirements, and agency procedures with practical, organized legal support.
In addition to procurement work, Carson assists clients with immigration law, bankruptcy, real estate and property matters, landlord-tenant disputes, business law, estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, public benefits, and veterans’ issues. This broad practice helps individuals, families, and business owners address interconnected legal concerns through one professional office. Before private practice, she spent more than half of her legal career as a federal Government Contracts attorney for the U.S. Army and Air Force. That work deepened her understanding of public contracting, fiscal responsibility, administrative processes, and the legal standards that govern contractors, agencies, and service-related matters.
As a retired lieutenant colonel with more than 27 years of U.S. Army service, including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Italia Carson brings discipline, preparation, and mission-focused judgment to her legal work. Her military and government experience informs her steady approach to helping clients make informed legal decisions carefully and efficiently. Through North Pole’s first law office, she has helped people navigate legal problems that may affect their businesses, property, finances, families, immigration goals, and benefits. She emphasizes careful counseling, clear explanations, and practical advocacy, helping clients understand their options and move forward with greater confidence in important legal matters.
