About

Hope K. Abramov is a labor and employment attorney with more than 25 years of litigation experience. She focuses on helping employers manage complex workplace challenges, labor disputes, employment discrimination claims, wage and hour matters, and health and safety concerns. Her work reflects a practical, business-focused approach to legal problem-solving.

Hope earned her B.A., Politics, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University. She later earned her J.D., cum laude, from Washington University School of Law in 1997. During law school, she was appointed by the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Board in 1996 and was a Semi-finalist in Environmental Moot Court, Spring 1996.

Hope brings insight from more than 10 years of real-world experience as in-house counsel for a global agribusiness. That background helps her understand the pressures employers face when managing people, policies, operations, and risk. She uses that experience to give clients clear guidance that supports stronger workplace decisions.

Hope has an active national labor practice and has negotiated more than 100 labor agreements. She represents companies in arbitrations, union elections, and unfair labor practice cases before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). She has also advised clients during union organizing drives and significant labor disputes.

Hope helps employers address workplace issues before they become larger problems. Her experience includes internal investigations, reductions in force, background check procedures, personnel handbooks, employment policies, confidentiality agreements, independent contractor forms, and standardized employment releases. She also assists with labor and employment issues tied to acquisitions and joint ventures.

Hope regularly provides on-site and remote training on employment topics, including harassment prevention and internal investigation procedures. She is admitted in Missouri and Illinois, with court admissions in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District, Missouri, and the U.S. District Court, Central and Southern Districts, Illinois. She was recognized in Chambers USA 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Hope K. Abramov helps clients by combining litigation skills, labor strategy, and practical workplace counseling. She builds strong relationships, develops creative solutions, and gives employers tools to stay compliant with changing labor and employment laws. Her work supports organizations facing disputes, policy concerns, employee claims, and operational challenges.
