About
Heather Kryzak is an Albuquerque immigration attorney who represents families and individuals in family-based and humanitarian immigration matters. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she has worked alongside immigrant communities in both legal and non-legal roles. Her practice helps clients pursue family unity, safety, stability, and new opportunities through the immigration process, including matters involving petitions, visas, waivers, and naturalization.
Heather earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in 2019. Her legal education prepared her to analyze complex immigration rules, identify practical options, and advocate for people navigating high-stakes proceedings. Combined with her bilingual ability and community-based experience, this training supports clear communication with clients and thoughtful preparation of applications, appeals, and federal court claims.
Heather has represented hundreds of families and individuals in immigration cases. Her experience includes more than 50 Mandamus and Administrative Procedure Act lawsuits filed in federal courts across multiple states to address unreasonable processing delays. She has also won multiple appeals before the Administrative Appeals Office involving previously denied T visas and U visas for survivors of human trafficking and other qualifying crimes. Through this work, she helps clients challenge delays and pursue available forms of immigration relief.
Heather Kryzak is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the New Mexico and District of Columbia bar associations. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. Her advocacy is guided by a commitment to access to justice for New Mexico’s immigrant communities. She provides practical, compassionate representation to individuals and families seeking safety, stability, and opportunity.
