Heather earned a B.A. from New York University in 2005. She later earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010. During law school, she served as the Managing Editor of the Blackletter Law Journal and was an editor of the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. Admitted to practice in New York, Heather A. Benjamin is widely respected for delivering practical counsel in trusts, estates, wealth management, and succession planning matters while maintaining a client-focused approach to complex legal challenges.
Heather regularly assists clients with a broad range of trusts and estates matters. Her experience includes advising beneficiaries and fiduciaries during the administration of complex trusts and estates, helping navigate sensitive issues that can arise during the process. She also works on dispute resolution matters and tax controversies connected to estate and trust administration. In addition, Heather has substantial experience with family office structuring and business succession planning, particularly when ownership transitions intersect with mergers and acquisitions or financing transactions.

She serves on the Board of Trustees of The Pinkerton Foundation, Montclair Art Museum, and Montclair Kimberley Academy.
