Harry C. Beatty

Harry C. Beatty is a New York corporate lawyer and senior partner with more than four decades of experience advising businesses on sophisticated commercial transactions. His practice includes acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, securities matters, financing, and cross-border transactions. He works with beverage companies, financial institutions, importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and other enterprises. His background combines private practice with substantial in-house experience handling legal and business issues for a global company.

Harry earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1976, where he served on the Board of Student Advisors and helped with moot court competitions and mentoring. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Colgate University in 1973. His training supports the analytical, negotiation, and business judgment required for corporate matters. He is admitted in New York and before the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Harry began his career at a major New York law firm before spending eight years with Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, ultimately serving as Corporate Counsel and assistant secretary. His work there included transactions, SEC and treasury matters, employee relations, benefits, and real estate. His later practice has involved transactions across Central and South America, Europe, and Asia, including acquisitions, financing arrangements, investments, distribution agreements, and other strategic commercial ventures.

Harry C. Beatty has received recognition for corporate and commercial law and was named New York Business and Corporate Attorney of the Year in 2017 and 2018. He has also written on investment banking agreements and represented clients in major transactions, including a 2026 business sale and securities acquisitions exceeding $70 million in aggregate value.
