Hakeem Ishola

Hakeem Ishola is a highly experienced attorney specializing in immigration law and criminal defense. Ishola earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah College of Law in 1991. During law school, he served as an editor on the Utah Law Review and earned distinctions in legal writing, criminal law, and immigration. He also holds an undergraduate degree from Troy State University. His strong academic background has provided him with the skills necessary to handle intricate legal issues with precision and strategic insight.

Licensed to practice in both Texas and Utah, Ishola began his legal career in 1988 as a clerk and later worked as an associate at Yengich, Rich & Xaiz in Salt Lake City until 1997. He then established his solo practice, building a reputation as a trusted advocate in immigration law and criminal defense. In 2010, he co-founded Ishola-Tarin PLLC, where he led a team of attorneys representing clients from diverse backgrounds in immigration matters and criminal litigation.

In 2014, Hakeem Ishola founded Ishola Law Group, LLC, and he has since built a reputation for delivering high-quality, results-focused legal representation. In addition to serving his clients, Attorney Ishola is dedicated to legal education. He teaches an immigration law course at Salt Lake Community College and has been a featured speaker for the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (UACDL) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he shares his immigration and criminal defense knowledge with other legal professionals.
