Hagop T. Bedoyan

Hagop T. Bedoyan is a Fresno bankruptcy lawyer who has practiced in California’s Central Valley since 1987. He represents debtors, creditors, trustees, and creditors’ committees in bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings. His work includes bankruptcy litigation and appellate matters. He was the first attorney in Fresno County certified as a Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization.

Hagop earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1981. He later received his Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1987. His education provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and problem-solving, which supports his work in complex bankruptcy proceedings and disputes.

Hagop has held several leadership and service roles within the bankruptcy law community. He chaired the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization and served as chair of the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Commission. He has also served as president of the Central California Bankruptcy Association and as a director of the California Bankruptcy Forum. From 1998 through 2009, he taught as an adjunct professor in the State Center Community College District’s paralegal program.
