H. Nathan Resnick

H. Nathan Resnick is the founding member and managing partner of Resnick Law, P.C., in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He leads the firm’s commercial litigation, real estate, and corporate law practice groups. He represents individuals and businesses in contested matters and also serves as trustee for trusts and manages commercial and residential properties. His combination of litigation and business experience informs legal advice on property, commercial transactions, and financial disputes.

Nathan earned a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1987 and a B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan in 1982. During law school, he received a brief writing excellence award and won a trial competition. His training in written advocacy and courtroom presentation laid the groundwork for his subsequent commercial litigation and bankruptcy practice, including matters in state and federal courts.

After law school, he joined Thav, Gross, Steinway and Bennett, working in litigation and business-related matters. He later founded Resnick Law in 1993. His experience includes trying cases in state and federal courts and representing businesses and individuals in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. His practice has also involved real estate disputes, corporate matters, and estate-related issues that require attention to both litigation and business implications.

H. Nathan Resnick has received professional recognition for litigation and service, including pro bono awards from the bankruptcy court and an AV peer rating. He has spoken on business law topics and legal issues facing property owners and entrepreneurs. As both an attorney and business owner, he considers the costs and operational concerns associated with legal disputes while guiding clients toward workable decisions.
